Need feedback on the new layout!

I was thinking of changing the www.asiafinest.com layout to this one http://www.asiafinest.com/template2003.shtml I need some brutally honest opinions!:D Which one looks better or more professional? Anything that I should change? Let me know! Thanks!

First impression is that the site is rather slow.

I like the second one better but I am not liking the bright reds, they detract from the page. Also consider a more modern font than times new roman.

i like the 2nd one better too. it still is so cluttered though. and yea...do u have to use red? red isn't a great color to use...its distracting and is too loud. my opinions. :shrug:

the font thats easiest to read is verdana imo. cuz anything to fancy distracts it. as for colors...i'd prolly stick to basic stuff like shades of grey and blue with maybe some black. i know those colors are dark and somewhat somber...but theres ways around making it work!! :D

yea man... site loads really slow.

you gotta think on your audience. (i.e. who's gonna be viewing it, what connections people might have, etc.). if theres a way to make it load quicker, than that'd be cool cus you might lose most viewers within the first 10-15 seconds if it still hasn't loaded.

yea... verdana might be a good font. pretty simple.

i tend to dislike white backgrounds. a little color to the background would be good too, but that all depends on each individual's taste. so thats just me....:D

but... overall i like the second layout better.

Try to check your grammar I noticed a few mistakes and while it's cool here on the forums it makes the site look amaturish.
I a agree, down on the reds. Think soft gray blues or better yet a gray purple. I also like the layout of the second page better
