Does anyone know how to start a religion?

Your best bet is become an ordained christian reverend, which is available at multiple websites. Then you can just make your "chrisstianity" into anything you want just as long as you continue to call it christianity. From then on its easy to get the tax free benefits.

You read me like a book, but i don't want christianity i want something that is mine mine mine, my frieds have been asking me to start one for a while. i just can't seem to find any data anywhere

Well thats the problem. If you just start your own religion it will prolly get labeled a cult and you wont get any benefits.

Ummmm.... No.

Generaly religions take hundreds of years of practice before they gain any sort of acceptance. Unless you take the reputation of an existing religion like all the cultists that call themselves christians.

So if you are ok with being persicuted, just write down your doctorine and start practicing it. Get some followers and start telling everyone how you love everyone while secretly planning heinous crimes against them because they didn't join you. I think that is pretty much the SOP for religions.

Or just do like the mormons and take you flock and move to the middle of no where so you can build up your numbers until the point where people have to take you seriously. If there were 15 mormons in the world they would be considered a cult of the weirdest order. But because there are millions of them most christians tolerate them. Motto of that story: strength in numbers.

i actually just did a presentation in school on brainwashing and if you want to start your own religion, your best bet is to become extremely good at brainwashing

As far as tax breaks go, you should be careful, the IRS does look into it if you are buying really expensive things tax free and writing it off as religious.
