DIVX plays UPSIDE DOWN....

WTF? I've heard about people accidently encoding their DivX files upside down. But the thing is the file played right side up on my friends computer in Media Player. Then I burn the file onto CD, bring it home, and all of a sudden it's upside down (in winamp 3.0). What's up?

edit: tried it in media player and it's straight .... winamp setting maybe?

I've seen AVIs play upside down in other players and play correctly in DIVX.

Oooh, really? That sounds like a symptom of having too much pr0n on your computer. Joking... only joking.

But that's a great line to use on your friends when they ask you for free "tech support" (especially if others are aound... like their girlfriend or parents).

It's especially sweet if you're on the phone and you can convince them to put you on speaker. The silence after you say that is hillarious.


Anyways... I've had your situation happen to me, too. It happened to the Swingers.avi that is very nicely encoded in DIVX. I, too, uninstalled and reinstalled the plain ole DIVX codec. Worked like a charm.

Well, it sure is wierd watching people going at it hanging from the ceiling! :D
Thanks guys, I'll give it a try installing an older codec and let you know how it went!
