Call Waiting Modem Question

I have call waiting on my phone line.

To get call waiting to work when on-line, can I use a standard V.90 Modem?

Will a V.92 modem wk?

Is the call waiting for the nodem in the modem or SOFTWARE?

Why not ?

If there are no replies in one forum, as there were in my case, why not try another forum that perhaps is better suited.

As you may have noticed, some activity was shown in the "better" forum for this post.

What is your point?

Its true a thread sometimes comfortably fits in 2 different forums.

Posting in multiple forums generally doesn't bother me-I pass by duplicate threads. Its only when someone goes overboard posting in numerous forums over and over again there is a problem.
However some folks get annoyed with time {& space} being wasted with duplicate threads.

One potential disadvantage by multiple forum posting is information may be spread out over multiple threads. Of course multiple posting may be a potential advantage with getting different viewspoints.

On this forum the same people who post in the the hardware forum, also look at the software and other tech related forums. So there doesn't seem to be much advantage in multiple posting.
