I think it's because some site have a policy against selling used/dirty underwear. I know ebay does. So they are covering their own butt by saying they sell Clean underwear.. now if you were searching for dirty underwear, and in that same area you found clean underwear that would be hilarious :P

It might also be what the gap is calling their underwear line. I really dont know, but maybe its sort of like a clean lines thing.
