Let's say a user enters the wrong password enough to get themselves locked out. Can the resulting warning message be customized? Like "Your account has been locked out. Go see Jeff" ?

I'm not sure if you can do what you want, but what you could do as an alternative is put a message that users see before logging in that says something like, "If your account has been locked out, please see Jeff". You can do this from the group policy editor (Interactive Logon: Message text... and Interactive Logon: Message title...").

That's also a good way to help thwart would-be hackers... if that's a real worry for you.


But I don't think users would remember at that point... :P ...no matter how many times they blow through it on their way to logging in.
