Amazon.ca deals?

Does anybody know if you will get a bill from Customs when purchasing from amazon.ca? A co-worker told me that if I bought from them I should expect a bill from U.S. Customs a few months later.

I bought a DVD set before xmas 2002 from amazon.co. My credit card charged me a fee to change currency but other than that there was no other charges except the cost plus s/h. I live in PA
