They were so dumb! I could never figure what a person was supposed to do once they read the signs in the window of the vehicles that they were in.

after years of mostly ignoring them but occasionally wondering what the heck the point was, i finally decided that they were supposed to encourage the dipsh*t tailgating you in a rage about you only going 5 miles over the speed limit instead of 25 like he wants to, to stop and think twice before doing anything dangerous, becuase he wouldn't be killing just the "dumb slow woman" in front of him, but also a baby.
i dunno.

George Carlin had an excellent bit about those on his "What Am I Doing In New Jersey?" album.
"Baby on Board", "Child in Car", don't tell me your troubles, lady. Why don't you put up an honest sign, "A****** at the wheel!"
:heh:

i wound up with some jackass behind me yesterday who was in a rage over the fact that i didn't speed up from 40 mph to take a 90-degree left turn to beat a yellow light. i almost got out of the car while we were stopped to yell at him. if i hadn't had a kid and two fetuses with me, i think i would have. (the chances of this 70-year old white male bunghole pulling a gun on me were probably low... he looked more like a golfer than deer hunter...)
if you want to do dangerous **** when you drive, whatever. you suck, hopefully you don't hurt anyone but yourself when you finally screw up, but i can see at least a glimmer of self-righteous logic. but to get pissed at people because they, personally, happen to want to OBEY THE DAMNED LAW and stay safe, is just patently ridiculous. some people really do think that everything should revolve around their desires, and it AIN'T just bitchy girlfriends...

that's fine and all but if you know that you're going to go 60 on a 55 on the highway...don't think that you're going fast, cuz you're not.
if you're going frickin 60 on a 55, move over to the right most lane and use the middle lane for passing.
don't be freakin goin on the left lane, refusing to move over when i come up behind you and then frickin give me an attitude about it...

In CT, a friend of mine got a ticket on Route 8 (freeway, two lanes each direction) when he was driving 60 in a 55 in the left lane with a line of cars behind him. The ticket was not for speeding, it was for "Failure to drive right." The officer told him that that was a passing lane and that he was impeding passing traffic.

Sorry, but I have to agree with the officer giving the ticket. I see this all of the time. I am convinced that the people who stay in the right with a whole line of traffic behind him or her have an axe to grind with humanity.. either they are having a bad day or a bad life.

damn.....if that officer went to ohio, he'd be busy all day writing those tickets
drivers who don't understand the concept of "yield to the right" piss me off to no end.
