ok. my next mission, should i choose to accept it, is to clean the bathtub. i have no idea how to do so. it's not porcelain, but it's like a plastic-y, rubber-y kind of surface. do you guys know what i'm talking about? can anyone suggest a cleaning technique? much thanks. my roommates will be grateful. :)

my mom cleans houses. and i remember her taking me along when i was younger. she's also a cna at a hospital, but i'm gettin off track.

she would have me put some kinda liquid cleaner stuff all over, then wet a sponge, and just scrub. then just wash it out after. not much to it.

NOW GET TO SCRUBBIN! :)

Just spray scrubbing bubbles or anything with some bleach in it and scrub it with a with a sponge. Let it sit for a while and then rinse.

SCRUBBING BUBBLES IS THE BEST STUFF EVER!..
just make sure after you spray and wait A FEW minutes you go back and scrub.then rinse with water...if that doesn't work, try baking soda and lemon juice on a sponge..once you get the initial grime off..the rest wont be so hard..follow up with a rinse of bleach water..and straight bleach on discolored caulking.

sounds like you have a painted surface. is it an old tub? i've had a few of those, and harsh cleaners like scrubbing bubbles and ajax will take the paint off.

i'd reccomend the lemon juice/baking soda or something similar. just scrub hard. i've just recently started using cleaners from 7th generation. all natural and plant based so they are not so toxic on the environment. they work just as well as harsh chemicals, but cost a litte more

find them here (http://seventhgeneration.com)

happy cleaning!

Do they really zoom around the tub and play games like in the commercial? If so THAT HAXOR ROX and I'm gonna go buy a case of that stuff. Doode, if you made punch with that stuff then everybody'd be zooming around the party dragging their arses on the floor. that'd rock.

acceptable substitute for cat: toddler.

:heh: Funniest thing I've seen Yoss say.

thanks. i used the scrubbing bubbles stuff for my shower door. it worked pretty well, but since i ran out, i guess the spots are coming back. lemon and baking powder sound good. i have no access to a cat, but my manager does have a toddler. i'd hate to see my rent increase accidentally though...

Why would anyone want to see an old person in the tub? :puke:

If there are any calcium deposits or other really hard stains, and you don't like using bleach, fill the tub with warm water and add a few few cups of white vinegar. Especialy if there are calcium deposits.
