View Full Version : What one thing in your life would you like to change?
Now that I've finally moved out of the Armpit of the Pacific Northwest (Everett), I want to stop contracting and have a (good) permanent job. And yes, I'm working on it. I'll hopefully have some news next week.
What about you?

I don't know if this qualifies, but i would change my asthma to make me have none. I think that would of had a extreme change in my life.
If that doesn't qualify, i'd pick not saying some comments at a job, that ended up in me getting let go for sexual harassment.=\
odd you should ask. i was just talking about it.

Saw a guy getting out of his car, at the same time a female got out of the passenger side, walked past him and got into the drivers seat. They talked briefly, I continues walking towards the front door. About 5 minutes later I was getting my hot chocolate for the day, he was punching in. I asked, "Hey, who was the H.P.A?" He went on to talk about said girl, for about 2 minutes, telling me it was one of his singers, that he managed( ) blah blah. I said, "OK" then as I was about to walk away he asked, "What's an H.P.A?"
"Hot Piece o' Ass"
two weeks later I was asked about the incident, and that night, I got a call telling me that my position was no longer needed (I was a temp) and not to come back.
Best job ever too, was doing pre-mastering of DVD's for a very large company... :neartears: i miss it...
sorry to digress from the thread topic, OC.

Not being to uptight...
I think it happened honestly after I stopped drinking and got more serious about things....
Oh well...I will have to find other ways to loosen up I guess :)

I wish I were a tad more choleric about stuff.
I wish I were maybe 2-3 inches taller
Maybe a few pounds lighter too. (Though I am working on this! :))

I will, as soon as Brayden is in school. I just have to decide what I want to be when I grow up. :)

I'd like to be less neive. I'm too much of an idealist.

I would have had more children, and moved them to the State of Maine.

I'd like to have $1,000,000,000,000. So then I could walk up to Bill Gates and call him "financialy disadvantaged". :P

I either wish my IQ was 2 shades lower or that I actually tried in sixth grade when the tried feeding college courses down my throat. Logic was easy, but it's a hard pill to swallow when all you want to do is play soccer with your friends.
Now I'm stuck between two worlds...surrounded by people who only know how to live easy and I feel like none of them understand a friggin word that I'm saying.
Just call me Haplo. (Any Margaret Weiss/Tracy Hickman fans out there?)

hmm some of the responses here are to the question: what would you LIKE? not what would you like to CHANGE?
yes i decided to be an a$$. :P
i'm not sure i'd change anything about my life. yea there were many parts that i defintely didn't like and caused mucho pain, but i believe everything happens for a reason, whether it be good or bad. we just have to learn from it and move on. life is too short to dwell on the pass and the "coulda," "woulda," or "shoulda."

To quote my fav stones song,
"You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometime, you might find, you get what you need..."
I wish I was a lot taller like 6'7 or so. I wish my shoulder/joints would heal right. I wish I made more money. I wish I was smarter. I wish I could find the "one." I wish I was more focused. I wish I could help a lot of people. I wish I wish I wish...........
Some things are not going to happen. Everything else is up to me.
Mostly I wish for more strength. I guess I'm already strong enough for whatever came up before and I hope I'll be strong enough for things that will arise in the future.
