What songs do you guys think are must have 80's songs? Here is my list so far:

Outfield - Your Love
Cutting Crew- Died in You Arms
Madonna - True Blue
Ah Huh - that comicbook song

erasure: oh l'amour
when in rome: the promise
depeche mode: blasphemous rumors, enjoy the silence

i'm more of this kind of 80's guy. but that cutting crew is a good one. i think i'll go get it now...

Erasure in general is good. I gotta check out the other two you listed.

I think we can come up with a huge list of must have songs for you. I think that list should include Jane Says by Jane's Addicition. Add It Up by the Violent Femmes and White Lines by Grand Master Flash. :bandit:

I love these threads. It gives me great ideas for things to hunt down.

All the 80's songs i have. Including:
Erasure
George Michael/Wham
Fine Young Canninbals
Madonna
Michael Jackson
Pet Shop Boys

and if you act now i'll even add for no extra cost:
Depeche Mode

Those are just full cd's, i have a bunch of singles. Most songs i consider 80's music are singles.

Wow, great list chosen!

I'll add...

DOA - You spin me right round
REM - Cant get there from here
Pseudo Echo - Remake of "funkytown"
Cult - She sells sanctuary
Bananarama - Venus
Van Halen - Hot for Teacher
Judas Priest - Livin after Midnight
Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills
INXS - The one thing
Megadeth - Peace Sells

Oh and I liked a lot of 80's rap - back when it was "fun", not like the gangsta stuff today. DMC, LL Cool J, Fat Boys, Grandmaster flash.

Digital Underground - Humpty Dance ("I once got busy in a Burger King Bathroom")
Grandmaster Flash - White Lines
LL Cool J - Rock the Bells
Run DMC - *ALL*, specially "King of Rock", "Its Tricky"
Rob Base - It takes two
