Oh yes...my Rockets kicked some butt today! (Ok....not so kicked...but we still won!)
Yao Ming...20 points in 23 minutes!!! Heck yeah!!
And Steve Francis still pouring in the points!
Yay Rox!!
4peat
4peat
4peat :P
I don't hear anyone praiseing the lakers now... stupid bandwagone (intinal) fukkas.
Isn't that the guy that is 7'3"? and he only got 20 points? hehe what, the ball was taking too long to go from the floor to his hand? :P j/k

hahahaha
as an avowed laker-hater, i'm so psyched to see them getting kicked around this season. sure, it will get better for them once shaq is healthy, but it does my heart good to see them lose, just like it brings a smile to my face to see nebraska slide from the top 25 in ncaa football :D

I have to say, once Shaq comes back, things are going to be different. Seeing how the Spurs struggled against them WITHOUT Shaq maded me kind of worried as to how the West will shape up come playoff time.
As for houston...I only like Yao. I hate every other rocket, starting with punkass Francis. I was so pissed when the Rockets pick him. And dumbass Rudy won't play him much. Geez. I say play him. That's the only way he'll learn.
Anyway, back to the Lakers. I don't like them. They are a two man team as we have witnessed these past few weeks. No Shaq, no 4peat. So I bet them Laker fans are watching that toe real closely...then again, I am too cuz the big man is in my fantasy league. :heh:

did i mention i saw that punk in santa monica one time... he was driving a black ferrari, no plates yet. worst of all he was driving slow. my civic passed him.

Hate the Rockets? They're one of the classist teams in the NBA at the moment.
And by the way....Yao Ming had 30 points today.....in 33 minutes!! I'm thinking that Rudy is going to play him a little bit more now!
:D 10-12 shooting, 10-12 fts, 16 rebounds :D

Ming wasn't there for almost all of the preseason....if Ming was out there he would have hurt the Rockets more than helping them. He's starting to get used to it now....but that's because now he's been in a few games and a lot of practices.
Punka$$ Francis? And Kobe is any better? :heh: Kobe is (imo) one of the cockiest players out there. Just because you're good doesn't mean that you can be such a bastard.

Just the way he is on court....I really don't like how he runs things. It's like he feels as if he is the center of the universe. I've watched Steve Francis play many a time and he's not half as bad as Kobe. Heck....Jordan isn't as bad as Kobe! :heh:

Yup, I hate the rockets. I have hated them since that early 90s. still do. Nothing against Hakeem, Barkley or Drexler back then. It had more to do with me not liking Robert wHorry and Mario Elie. I'm no Laker fan either because of that reason. I used to like the lakers...till it became a 2 man show. Kinda miss the Lakers of the 80s...:bawl:
Anyway, I like Yao a lot. I think for a 7'5 player, he's got lots of game. He needs to learn to stay out of foul trouble tho so he can pick up more blocks instead of fouls. Now that Rudy sees what he can do, I'm sure he'll play him a bit more. Then he'll be able to silence his critics.
And yes, I think Francis is a punkass. Even more so than Kobe. Why I despise that maggot is because NO rookie should be demanding to be traded. Did you see the face he made when the grizz picked him? If that's not Punkass, I don't know what is. He should be thankful that he made it into the NBA. Greatful that he'll be making millions. Not bitch about being drafted by the Grizz. Same for Van Horn. I liked him when he came out of UU. But the whole "I don't wanna go to Philly" crap was stupid. What's ironic is that he's playing in Philly now. :heh: And doing better.
Anyway, I don't like the way Francis runs his team either. If Kobe and Francis would trade places, Francis would have a 0-12 record right now.
Before you label me as a Kobe groupie, I need to mention that I do not like Kobe. I think TMac is better. Kobe is a great baller. But he lacks leadership. He's a cocky bastard and I hate the smirk he has when he's on the court. My reasons for saying Tmac is better is because TMac makes it look so effortless, so easy. Whereas you can see Kobe tries hard. And I applaud him for his work ethic, but he still ain't much without Shaq.

I hate the lakers. No real reason. But I do agree with everyone that Kobe is very cocky I remember it from one of the interviews last year.
I LOVE it when I hear the lakers loose. They deserve it. Granted they are a good team, I will give them that. They let it go to their heads.
Oh and everytime I hear about them loosing on the news me and dopey laugh at them!!!

i don't like the lakers, kobe, or shaq. but having said that, my disliking them isn't based on anything legit. they're a good team and seem like decent people. neither kobe nor shaq have been busted for doing something stupid. more that you can say for most stars...

and i just can't bring myself to take a team seriously who are doing as bad as the lakers are in the absence of just one player, regardless of who that one player might be, shaq or not... i mean really, what does that say about the team? shaq is dominant, yes (unfortunately enough), but should he really make THAT much of a difference in a championship caliber team? i dunno...
having said that, the lakers are still the champs, they're still the team to beat (which, incidentally, hasn't been to difficult to achieve so far this year), and if shaq comes back healthy, who knows what'll happen...
but lemme say this... kobe needs to come up with a slightly less obnoxious ad campaign with adidas... those commercials just be buggin the hell outta me...

I believe Kobe hasn't been resign by adidas. He was wearing And1 shoes when he played the Spurs this week.
I agree that missing shaq should not make the lakers a 3-9 team. That basically points out at the Lakers weakness. They rely too much on the big fella. If Shaq and Kobe were equals, then the Lakers would be 6-6 not 3-9.
As far as Kobe accomplishing more at 23 than many 30 year olds. Well, I can easily throw you a list of 10 players that could have accomplished the same feat if they where playing with Shaq.

I do agree with this statement....it is good that these people who are role models haven't been arrested for doing anything stupid.

Robert wHorry!! HAHAHA!!! That's one I haven't heard!
But I do have to disagree with you on the Mario Elie thing. He worked HARD to get where he was. He was an intricate part of the Rockets when he was there. He was actually one of my favorite players.
And just for the record....I never did like Barkley. He's the kind of player that I just don't really like. Cocky as nothing else! :) Loved Drexler and Hakeem....but Barkley....no.

WTH!
is ........... this?
Haven't been here a while and must of missed the bs session.
Lakers don't play dirty. Put on a good show and some of the most amazing moves seen in sports. Lakers, though playing badly lately, are still the team to beat.
Look at this Laker hater parade. All you chumps talk trash or sit back and pray and hope the Lakers will lose every year all season. Come June another Ring another parade!
Rockets LOL.
Nija, didn't know you were such a hater. I've been a fan since the late 70's and watched Showtime and the 90's and now the new dynasty. L.A. deserves to have a winning team. More bandwagonneers for the 90's bull***** than the Lakeshow.
Pink, you don't have to follow dopeys lead. Ask him how his boy jordan is doing. :P Kobe 3 rings and only 24........... :D
When we get number 4, I will remind you guys. :pfft:

Give the Lakers some time it's early. However I think the three Championship rings are slowing them down :)

I actually like Yoa Ming. He has the potential to be the 2nd best center in the league. David Robinson is at the end of his carreer so Yao against him is no big deal, Duncan on the other hand.........
Lakers play the Mavs tonight. We let go that center Somale(sp?), so I think people will see their jobs are on the line. :P

LAKERS DOWN BY 25 POINTS IN THE 4th.........
and the LAKERS go on to defeat the #1 ranked team in the NBA.
Out scoring them 44 to 15. Poor Mark Cuban, I think he's crying like a baby now. HA HA :pfft: Best game of the year... so far.
Can you say bling bling!

BTW, Chick is no longer with us, but his spirit lives on. He must of loved watching this game from up above.
