AMD is supposed to have a keynote tommorrow afternnon. Rumors say that this years Comdex has a strong Apple presence, and Apple is supposed to be on hand for the announcements tommorrow.

AMD Zone states

In the Comdex press briefing we were told that Hector Ruiz would make a "shattering" anouncement about a new licensee.

Is this the AMD / Apple relationship that has been rumored for the past few months? Will we be seeing X on x86?

The announcements are supposed to be made tomorrow, Nov 19.

if true, would be cool. I wonder if this would cause a price reduction in macs too.

I doubt it. I really doubt it. Remember, "shattering" coming from a company means "neat".

And IIRC, it's an Intel/Apple rumor. (Although I do like AMD better, and think they would be more likely to go for it.)

no, it isn't. recent reports of welded shut boxes running OS X using AMD processors have been running rampent. AMD needs the business badly, and frankly, apple never ever annouces product at Comdex.
