If you look at gomez.com, there were several opportunities to make some money. I personally recommend the Netbank one. I opened an account, and it has great interest rates for checking and money market. Also, you only need $50 to deposit and you get $50 if you keep it open for 60 days. There also no fees at all. I was considering the Citibank one, but there's a fee for the account if your average balance is less than $1000. YUCK!!!!

i remember a while back there were a bunch of "open an acct and get $500 off something" deals. and a little voice says that i saw somewhere interest bearing checkings accts, for etrade i think. etrade has a $75 bonus if u sign up now, but i was thinking more along the lines of $500 off something, or like a GC somewhere. would make paying blue online much easier.

Yeah, check gomez.com. I can highly recommend the usabancshares checking also. Very high interest (for a ckging acct, 5% I think), no min balance, first box of checks free, and an ATM/MC with monthly fee reimbursements! I don't know if gomez is still running a sign up bonus or not (I got $100 for $100 deposit). What ever you do, stay away from the Citi f/i accounts. I had a bad experience with them. I think they grew their accounts too fast and haven't staffed properly for the growth. Anyway, HTHs.
