Ok so I left my room to go to school this morning and noticed this big spider on my ceiling, I was already running late so I cursed it under my breath hoping it will still be there once I come back from school.
So I got back and noticed he's moved about 2 ft from where he was before. Realizing that he's obviously challenging me, I made my plan of attack...

To the untrained eye, this may seem to be just another harmless dot on the ceiling. But upon closer inspection...

The ugly shape of an arachnid begins to take form. At this point I was still observing him, taking note of his weaknesses and his surroundings. I decided that I must brave the unknown and get closer to my enemy in order to better understand him, the next picture is not for the faint hearted for it is a monstrous eight-legged organism of death:

The time to attack drew near and I must attack right then and there to take advantage of the element of surprise:

Alas! As I was trying to get him, I realized I had no way of trapping him inside the can. So I pulled the can back a bit and suddenly he rapelled down the ceiling onto carpeted terrain. Then he made a run for the bundle of cables:

Although I might've lost him the first time, he seemed to be trapped. Despite that, I had no way of capturing him if he were to stay there. I had to force him out. I tugged at the cables a bit and made a loud hissing sound... that sure scared him because he ran out:

He tried to run... but the carpet is MY terrain! He was doomed! A few seconds later, darkness was brought upon the hapless monster by the Tootsie Roll can:

At this stage, the spider seemed to have lost its life... or at least it's getting there. I took my little shocker thing and shocked it a couple of times, letting the electricity surge through its body and stretch out its slender legs... after a couple of shots it definitely died.

but EWWW SPIDERS!!! u know....i hate spiders and can't kill em myself cuz i'm scared. so if i see one on the floor, i'll get something (like a jar) and cover it and tell someone to kill em for me. YUCK!!!!!!

I can't stand spiders if I am in an enclosed room with them. One time I was dead tired and there was a spider in my room, I wouldn't go to sleep. I stayed up following it moving around the room...it wasn't fun...:eek:

heh.. nice story sho.
i heard that on average, a person eats approximately 8 spiders a year while asleep. the spider just crawls into the dark abyss that is the mouth... and, mmmmmmmmm spider :lick:
btw... where do those little shocker thingys come from? i have one but don't know where i got it.

i can't believe nobody has said anything yet about it being bad to kill spiders
:( my boyfriend doesn't like me killing the evil bugs that invade my apt(spiders, ants, etc). he's of the opinion that they have as much right to live as i do. :P so i stand on the couch shrieking while he captures it and lets it go outside... silly boy, just makes more work for himself! :heh:

Me, I usually just pick the bugs up and throw them out the door. It is not so much because I respect the bugs life but because I don't need the really gross spots on my walls from smashing.

Holy crap you guys... I just realized something:
Recall: Spider was soaked in alcohol (alcohol a very volatile substance ie. flammable)
Also recall: I took the shocker thing (which was pulled out of an electric lighter to start the flame) and was shocking this alcohol soaked spider with it. There were sparks.
This story could've ended with a flaming spider, which wouldn't be cool at all considering it could set other things on fire. That spider almost had me!!! Damn my oversight, I underestimated him. :(
