You console people....**sigh** when will you ever learn. Not shooter on any console will ever beat playing Counter strike on PC :D

The only game mind you that I would consider to play on console is LoTR: two towers...but other wise I would rather stick with Shadowbane and Counter-strike, what could be better?

BAH! Your living in a closed world my friend! It's a new age where true gamers play all things video game. There's no playing just the PC or just the home unit. You play both! Why? MORE GAMES TO PLAY! Gaming 24/7! BOO YEAH! PC is great for FPS and RTS, console is great for adventure and RPG. But tech has come along way and we are starting to see that both PC and console can hold up the same. Heck with the way things are going for consoles you can expect them to have their day above the PC once agian.

Bottom line here folks is that if your going to game, you have to game it all. Go where the game is. Warcraft III hits the PC - have to go play it on the PC. Metroid Prime hits Game Cube - got to go play some cube man! PS2 gets another Final Fantasy game - got to go play some PS2. You go where the game is plain and simple. There is no PC vs Console anymore. It's all about the games!

Oh yea, I would play consoles more often, but there like macs...when something doesnt work, you get a new one. When something needs updrages, you throw out the old, and buy a new one.....gues that could be a reason why macs stink too :rolleyes:

personally i go thru phases. Used to play my good old PSX a lot and hardly touch the PC. But for the past 3 years, I've been playing on my PC instead and haven't bothered to upgrade my console.
But I'm getting an xbox real soon :D

All I know is I was having a blast the past two days playing Mechassault on XBOX live, fully broadband.

And personally I applaud Microsoft banning modded consoles from XBOX Live, not because I give a damn about pirating software but because it helps keeps CHEATERS off the service. Cheating in single player is fine, but cheating in multiplayer ruins it for everyone.

I game on XBOX, PC, PS2, whatever else I can get my grubby hands on. :D

I'll vote for PC over Console any time of the year.
1. Computer games can be downloaded of the net ($$)
2. Comps can be upgraded
3. Easy Multiplayer (over internet), although u need broadband to enjoy it.
4. Great games (lot less $$ than console games), Half-Life, Starcraft, Warcraft3 and all the new ones too.
5. 5.1 Sound with sound card of course, great graphics, a decent video card couples with a good LCD monitor.
6. Dont need memory cards and stuff.
7. Console ppl are making SO MUCH money out of their products (games and consoles). They r practically stealing $$.
8. No Region problem, any game from anywhere in the world will play on a PC, unlike consoles.

And a lot lot more!

1.True, but its illegal.
2.So can consoles. (ie, PSOne to PS2, etc)For much less than upgrading a PC.
3.Now that the internet kits are out, everyone can enjoy it.
4.If you are stealing video games online, of course its cheaper.
5.Just buy a nice speaker system and you can have as much fun as on a PC. You don't need to spend 200 bucks for a video card or 1000 for a nice LCD monitor.
6.XBox has a built-in HD so that isn't really a big issue.
7.If you where a game developer, wouldn't you want to get paid too?
8.Sure, but how many countries are you going to taking your console to? If you're a gamer, chances are, you don't really go anywhere.

I'm a big time PC guy, but I have to say, if you skimp out one piece of hardware on a PC, your game will lag like crazy. I really don't feel the need to go out there and upgrade my computer every time I want to play a game. Don't have to deal with windows drivers, video drivers, incompatible video card, slow HD, etc...Consoles are less hassle. True plug and play.

I consider myself a pc gamer, but I also have an xbox. I can appreciate both. On pc i tend to play first person shooters and real time strategy. On xbox i tend to play racing and sports games. I think the pc does shooters and strategy much better than consoles and I think consoles do sports games much better than pc. Its mostly a matter of which genres you like best rather than which platform you prefer most.
