well, i'm thinking about buying a portable for those downtimes while travelling... i read here on G|A a while back about a backlit gameboy advance. it's "supposed" to be released in december... has anyone heard anything new about it?

So far the rumors seem to be false. No one can back up the story and Nintendo is still not talking. With the announcement of the Game Boy Player coming out for the Game Cube, it is highly unlikely that Nintendo will release another version of the Game Boy this year.

Or they may just wait until after the holiday season hoping that everyone will buy up the old ones before they release the new ones.
