No way. Carlson Palmer for Heisman! It's about time that Heisman returned to West Coast. USC rules!! Guess where I went to school.
:heh:

Too many stuff on the list. It'll take me one good day to sort every thing out, by which time, the sale would have been over.

Is this good for NYC? I don't want to wake up early Friday morning for nothing.

Anyone know how many (if any) of these deals are available online? I won't be anywhere near anything but Kmart and Walmart, but I'd get in on some of this if it was available online.

Come on guys, I know there has to be a pricematch/rebate/coupon SOMETHING to make that 120 GB hard drive deal even better. (Still kicking myself that I didn't get in on the REALLY good deal 2 days ago, but atleast this one is a WD instead of Maxtor)

How crazy does it get with these sales? DO you have people lining up in front of the stores at 6 am waiting to fight their way in? If it's going to be a mob scene maybe I'm not even going to bother.

The Sales? Pretty darn crowded, last year they had a crowd counter at Best Buy, the final count: 780 ppl!!!
The line extended from front of the store, all squigglies, and into the parking lot, into the road, and finally ended at a nearby McD's, lol! Even the local TV weather reporters do their job in these stores!! So u can be on TV!
No way im going this year, too much work, pay a liitle more bucks and dont waste ur life.
About deals on the internet, last time I bought all the circuitcity deals online. I stayed awake on Turkey Day, till Friday early morning 1.00AM Eastern TIme, and ordered everything online, all the rebates applied, no problems!
Best Buy, thats a whole different story, 'Valid only on In-Store Purchases"
Staples, fine, not a big crowd.

And the WD hard drive deal is a good one, im gonna go for that.
bissond: Why are u going for the cendyne 40x when Best Buy has 48x one for 9.99?

Very crazy. Last year I went to Best Buy at 6:30am and it was packed and after screwing around for an hour in the crowds I left empty-handed in disgust. I went in with high hopes of getting a cheap hard drive and a geforce 3. I might go to Sears for some of the tools this year, but I won't be setting foot in BB, that place sucks!

You have to do it buddy-syste style. Divide the store up and everyone picks up for the group (their items)

Yep, thats what I did last year. I teamed up with about 8 of my buddies and assigned 2 for every store. The result: Got about 85% of what I wanted!!

hey guys-

i'm a newbie at this, but am desperate for a nice new hard drive and am willing to wake up early for it. however, i can't find out when these places open on friday. i checked the website, and most places just state their regular hours as opening at 10am on friday (like bestbuy, microcenter, etc.) but it seems like part of this special sale involves different hours. is there any way to find out when these places open (particularly bestbuy and circuit city and microcenter) if i'm in the sf bay area?
i really appreciate it!

thanks

Get Circuit City to Pricematch Best Buy's price for the Hard Drive ($189.99) (saves you an extra $10)

Not sure if they give you a stupid pricematch reciept or not, if so just buy it out right. Then buy another one pricematched and return it.

Here are the two CircuitCity Rebates
Got to http://www.circuitcity.com and search for WD1200BBRTL

The links are right there. One for $40 and one for $70.

Final price after rebates should be about: $79.99 !!
(plus tax) bastards!

This B Friday sux! I know the stuff i'd want, lots of people want and i doubt i'll find anything.

Sales are up everywhere so they are not offering too many good deals.

I have a feeling that they will have a better one after Christmas if sales dont stay high.

Looking it over one last time. If I can find a store with 5 or 6 things I want..............

HA, got my $19 crock-pot. Went to K-mart last night, put 1 on the top shelf, pushed to the back. Got up at a semi decent time, 7 am (not 5 am) there was 1 waiting for me on the top shelve. Hmmm how did that get there?

Happy shopping all!

In the case of Target, it's not necessary to wake up early and stuff. Their sale is on Friday and Saturday! I want to get a Micropet for $6.44! :D

Too bad some of us have to work on Friday... :bawl:

went to fry's fountain valley, got about $300 worth of free stuff after rebate, was a nightmare though, an hour after the the store opened, the firemarshall came, and was pissed after it took HIM 20 mins just to get to the manager, after which he had the front entrance closed and determined there were roughly 4000 people in the store. The line looped around the entire store 3 times, I was in line for about 3 1/2 hours....
