Was listening to the local techno station and heard this song being played a lot. It sounds very japanesey and in the background it keeps going "SHI-LOWWWW, SHI-LOWWWW".
Anyone know the title? :P

Just DL'd it. The original version is not even close to a techno song, more like Japanese pop-rock with a Japanese guy on vocals. The "Trance Version" is cool though. Makes me wonder... Who is this Alfredo Casero, a Spanish sounding name, creating a completely J-popish sounding track??
edit:
Pretty interesting behind story...

Island Fever
The Japanese track that has created such a buzz is called “Shimauta” (pronounced she-ma-yoo-ta). It means island (shima) song (uta), a reference to Okinawa and its neighboring islands. The original version was a Japanese hit by the male group The Boom in 1993. A remake by Argentina’s Alfredo Casero (singing in Japanese, no less) became a big hit in parts of Latin America in 2002 under the title “Shimauta (Cancion de la Isla).” A female singer named Izzy covered that song in a duet with The Boom—in English.
The dance remix that’s been getting airplay in the U.S. may possibly feature the vocals of Chitose Hajime, a folk singer trained in the
vocal tradition of the islands. It’s unclear whether she ever recorded a remake of the song. In our humble opinion, this singing style sounds like typical Japanese phrasing with a little more “yodeling” involved. If you do a search on the Internet, you’ll get to hear the original version of “Shimauta,” read about how Casero came to record the song, and learn the meaning of the lyrics. What you won’t be able to do—at least we haven’t figured out so far—is find out anything about that darn dance remix. One suspects it’s either incorrectly attributed to Casero or it’s been re-titled for the English-speaking markets (as they did with Las Ketchup’s song). We’ll keep you posted.

this isn't exactly that, but it's close. it's called Chica Chica Boom Chic.
My friends, I send felicitations
To our South American relations;
May we never leave behind us
All the common ties that bind us;
A hundred and thirty million people send regards to you,
And before I return, there's one thing you can do:
Chorus:
Come on and sing the Chica Chica Boom Chic,
That crazy thing, the Chica Chica Boom Chic;
Brazilians found the Chica Chica Boom Chic,
They like the sound of Chica Chica Boom Chic.
It came down the Amazon, from the jungles
Where the natives greet
Ev'ryone they meet
Beatin' on a tom-tom:
Boom chi-boom chi-boom, boom chi-boom chi-boom;
It don't make sense, the Chica Chica Boom Chic,
But it's immense, the Chica Chica Boom Chic;
That's all you've got to say
To chase the jinx away,
Chica Chica Boom, Chica Chica Boom,
Chica Chica Boom Chic!
my guess is that it's the techno mix of this song where they just repeat the bolded line for 4 minutes....
