Was on the road and partcipating in gluttony(sp?) most of the day.
Stayed up late last night and woke up a little sick. Was planning to go to the gym and than to my relatives for lunch. Stayed in bed a little too long and than my brother brought his PS2 and NBA game over so I gamed and ate my 1st meal at Mom's.
Mom's(1PM):
-Turkey! It was a little salty but it was good. Moist and flavorful.
15 pounds or so of schrumchousness(sp?)
-The Ham was honey roasted yummy goodness from that Honeyplace.
-Stuffin was a little too moist but very good. Bread mushrooms etc.
-Gravy meat based with mushroom
-Cranberry sauce from the can ( i like it  )
-Rice white with a slightly dry consistancy
-Orange/grapefruit juices and soda and tea.
-Ceasar Salad....didnt touch it today
-artichokes, looked like the canned stuff so i didnt indulge
-Mom's homemade cheescake with pineapple topping.
-Seafood salad was a little bland and I didnt care too much for it.
-Rolls, basic store bought.
Friends (3PM)
-Turkey! Nice 20 pound bird. Nice texture with a slight buttery taste to it.
-Mash potatoes were your basic mashed potatoes.
-Stuffing, stovetop!
-Gravy was your basic meat based brown gravy.
-Rolls, your basic store bought.
-Pies, pumpkin and chocolate soufle and apple dutch etc.
-Wine coolers, wine, beer, sodas etc.
-Fruit
Relatives (4:30PM)
-Turkey, got there too late to see the bird but there was lots of leftovers. Moist, not too much flavoring.
-Mashed pototoes, twice mashed with some butter and herbs.
-Cranberries, the real stuff!
-Gravy was a light turkey based sauce with a nice golden hue to it.
-Rolls, those little baked croisants(sp?), flaky/buttery/yummy!
-Punch with soda and strawberries and stuff..........
-Baked Alaska! Oh man what a cool little suprise. You got some kind of chocolate cake bread thingy and than there's the strawberry icecream and than theres the FLAMING merainge(sp?) on top!
I had one more stop to make but I stopped by Mom's on the way there and ended up playing video games with my family and visiting with the neighbors.
I really liked the stuff marked with the drooling guy. That dessert really took the cake! Overall, suprisingly, Mom's dinner was my fav!
Last few years she's come in 2nd or 3rd due to all the store bought junk.
-jel:halo:
Sorry but I was having a good time and didnt feel like doing the play by play this time. Maybe next year you'll get the, "and I got up for my 2nd serving of turkey, this time the white meat. It needed gravy.."

A little turkey a little ham. Finished the stuffin and the fried rice. Found the gravy :lick: and the cranberries. Was going to make a sammich, than i thought i'd try to make some gumbo (soup its good for the soul), but i ended up just nuking it and grubbing.
Some mint chocolate chip ice cream and some cheese cake to top it off and I have finally hit my limit.
Well, maybe one more meal before I sleep but thats it I promise :shifty:

Dude you guys are making me drool. I didn't have Thanksgiving with family because I'm in Korea. Man... We usually have turkey, ham, beef and turkey gravy, a bunch of stuffin, mashed potatoes, pork roast, Korean ribs, Korean noodle salad, a bunch of kimchi, potato salad, tempura (mixed veggies, sweet potato, shrimp...), variety of raw sea food (oysters, mussels, salmon...), Vietnamese wraps (spring rolls?), Korean cinnamon drink, rice punch, fruit punch, a bunch of soda, cheap wine, Martinellis for the kids, pies and of course ice cream.
I can't wait till Christmas, I'll make sure I get to eat everything I've missed while I was here. I had some turkey but no gravy no taters. Man I wish I was home. Can't believe I missed Black Friday sales too.

bye the way Jel, the double crust lemon is lemon pie with A crust on bottom as opposed to lemon merengue(sp), or lemon with whip cream on it..double crusts are hard to make, you have to bake the top crust part way in another pan, then halfway through the baking, slide it ontop of the pie with the filling-UPSIDE DOWN so it retains its' pie like shape..I'm in new york, so i dont have a clue where to find them in california-but i'm sure any reputable bakery should have them. :)
