Take advantage of a Black Friday Price Match Deal. Best Buy has the BusLink 48X CD-RW drive, model # RW4848, for 29.99 with no rebates. Get CompUSA to pricematch this, and CompUSA has an additional $30 in MIR. They must call the Best Buy store, because this price is not available on bestbuy.com

Enjoy

How do you come up with the price of $29.99 at BB??? http://www.bestbuy.com/Detail.asp?m=488&cat=511&scat=&e=11165259

Thanks.

He said the price is not available on bestbuy.com. Maybe it's a special in-store only price.

It's not listed on the shelf so how can you get the $29.99? CompUSA calls Best Buy, the guy checks on the shelf and it says 69.99. It won't work. Maybe when the store is dead but not now.

I actually went to Best Buy, and it WAS the price on the shelf. So that CompUSA did not have to call over, I actually grabbed the price tag from the shelf and took it over to the CompUSA. Worked for me, YMMV.

You are lucky that they even had any with a $29.99 sticker. I think the store you went to screwed up. I just bought it at Comp. Nice drive!

Got 3 at BB yesterday for $29.99. No rebates to hassle with. Buslink rebadged liteon 48x's. Very good deal.

Heh. on a related note, I got a sweet D-Link 614+ wireless router from BB for 50$... but only after I found the boxes myself. The section that was supposed to have them had sold out, and the staff kept telling people in front of me that they were out of them. Knowing the average intelligence of the local BB staff, I walked around, and smack in the middle center aisle I found 20(!) boxes! I told the staff about it, and you should have seen their complete lack of interest, even though they had to turn away at least a dozen people because of their sheer ineptitude.

That seems pretty bad. At the 1st BB I went to, they were pretty understanding. And went to great lengths to help me find things, during all the chaos. They did seem to have a huge number of employees working during that 1st hour.
COmpUSA, however was plain awful. they kept saying that the free CF cards were out. they had a stupid system of walking a lot of the hot items to the register, individually. picture: 50 people clamoreing for attention. and 1/2 employees unlocking the case, reaching for the item, locking the case back up, handing it to a cashier, and then walking back to help the next person. that was awful! And they kept sayting they were out of cards. but 1 decent employee went in the back and found 3 boxes of them! CompUSA is so off my list of places worth going. BB got major points though!

Those damn idiots didnt have the Buslink or lite-on for that cheap. But i did get a digital research technoligies for 40 bucks plus a 10 MIR which brought it down to 30. I only got the bc they are dumb and had a bad price on the floor and forced them to honor it. 48x.16x.48x.

Found out those buslinks are 48x24x48x's liteons and are flashable to 52x's. 24 rw is even nicer.
Hope my friends like the gifts.
