In accordance with my new computer being up and running, its time for the 3dmark/bragging rights deal.
I haven't yet OC'ed the gainward ti4200 yet, so i should be able to squeeze a few more marks.

1. The Ti4200 is better the the 8500 for gaming
2. the SSE in the Athlon XPs make a big difference too.

The 128MB R8500LE has slower clock but O/C the card and see what you get! My score is an O/Ced score (both CPU and video card). My stock score is only 8xxx so your is not so off since I have XP 1700+ and 64MB R8500LE.

129xx
I think that was my last score.
Need to tweak xp etc and see if I can break 13k, just havent had the time or motivation.

Right now I'm using Rivatuner to play with the video card clock (310/290). For my CPU, I just increase the FSB in motherboard BIOS. :D

i know about CPU overclocking.....
but vid card overclocking, seems like rivatuner is for geforce cards, not ati....
know any ati OC utilities?

You could use Rivatuner for R8500/LE. Check out www.rage3d.com for Radeon tweakers/utilities.

I'm having a bit of a problem. When I try to use the ORB to report my scores to the website it says, that resultbrowser isnt installed on my system and to download it from madonion.com, but I cant find resultbrowser anywhere in their download section. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

result browser is part of 3dmark Pro version. The free version doesn't have option to use result browser

I overclocked the gainward ti4200 and I'm going to run 3dmark again tonight to see how it scores now. I only pushed the ram 3mhz and the cpu got 8 more. Not a super big over clock, but when you consider that it comes overclocked some out of the box its not bad.

Iam really ashamed, i got a 6796, not what I expected.:(
Can you guys give a list of major factors (a little in depth of course)that actually affect 3d perfomance?
Thanks

antialiasing makes games run slower, ansio filtering too. There are alot of other random things that could make you get a low 3dmark score.
