Not to start a flame war, but it bugs me when I see "AZN Power" and all that crap. I don't know, it just seems to be a fracticious and stupid way of compensating for an understandable inferiority complex most non-White groups have. There need to better ways to express pride then AZN power or AZN pride. To me it just clouds/diminishes the message trying to be conveyed.

Well... first of all, sorry for insulting your friend. I kinda assumed that she was some random girl. Secondly, it's a good thing that I don't find her attractive, because I would feel really bad about checking out jail bait. Finally, good for you dude for standing up for your friend. Riding motorcycles are just a means of transportation ( I used to ride a Katana myself)...Defending her honor IMO is cool. :thumbup:

ok, lemme explain....

early this summer (more like spring) i started riding motorcycles with a pretty good group of people. Organized, fairly safe rides and riders. Over the course of the summer i've spent many many hours both on Sunday mornings for a late breakfast before riding, late lunches, etc, Friday Nights, and Saturday nights of just sitting aroudn talking and riding late in the evening till the early morning hours.

The girl in the picture (on the new Black R6) is the daughter of one of the older riders in our group. When meeting her in real life, one doesnt realize her age. I didnt find out untill maybe 3 weeks after i met her... well, in 3 weeks time, one easily forms an opinion - which i stated above. Obviously she's very young and in no way would i even think of doing anything in-appropiate.

Over the course of the summer these people, including her and her dad, have become my friends. Thus, this is why i would defend her. Outside of riding motorcycles and hanging out with the rest of the Tribe ( www.speed-tribe.com ) i have no contact with her or most of the other people in the group.

This is why i said no comments like "shes freakin jail bait". I believe that i can think someone is hot without it being in-appropiate, especially since I've always kept complete and appropiate distance and will always do so. So lay off already. :)

BTW, yall think i'm bad for thinking shes good looking... hehe... one of teh guys in our group thats like 28 or so has a continual joke and allways calls her dad his "future father-in-law" and The dad refers to the guy as his daughters "Fiancee". Like i said, she takes a LOT of teasing / joking from everyone, and handles it well.

I think lots of groups take pride in their roots. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, however, someone people tend to take it a little too far.
In my case, I'm asian, I grew up here and in south america, so I got a little bit of 3 different cultures in me. I take pride in being asian, stand by my fellow south americans and i'm americanized in a way. I've had boba drinks, i know what 99 ranch market is. I like Pho :P But I don't drive a riced out Honday Civic. I don't have spikey hair, and wear baggy jeans. :heh:

Races' always want to be "on the same level as whitey" then they turn around and call themseleves these derogatory terms. They don't take themseleves seriously and then expect everyone to do the exact opposite. Steve Harvey (yeah, the King of Comedy) is saying the same thing all the time. Trying to raise awareness among artist to stop saying "nigga" all the time, because it's self-defeating.

Naw, I get being proud of your Asian (or whatever) heritage. I love going to eat Pho, Thai peanut chicken, Japanese food, Chinese food, and almost every kind of Korean food ('cept dog, but don't condemn eating it). I drive a Honda Civic, but not riced out, actually just a set of pedals a Pakistani friend got for me. I am far from a banana. Actually my younger brother is probably a banana, complete gung-ho Republican, Army loving, Country music fan, but me, I don't think so.

I guess I should have clarified my statement, I don't understand the ignorant "clique-ish" attitude of those idiots.
