This seemed like a more natural place for this than "Need Deals", but if that's where it should go then feel free to move it there.

I've been looking at getting a PS2 for my girlfriend (she wants it, don't worry, I'm not going to get into trouble :)), and I'm trying to find the best deal. I'm not necessarily talking about money, but more in bundles. There's all kinds of places offering PS2 bundles, but it seems like none of them add much value. Either they give you games you don't want, or the total price of buying everything separately is the same price as a bundle.

Any ideas what the "best" bundle is? It seems the best type of bundle would be the console, an extra controller, and a memory card. What do you guys think?

There's always E-BAY (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?GetResult&query=&from=R2&ht=1&st=1&category3=11328&Top10=&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&catref=C1). You can ussually find a nice deal there with out having to pay through the nose.

GAMESTOP (http://www.gamestop.com/search.asp?keyword=&platform=15&lookin=title&genre=31&searchtype=adv&sortby=title) has a few deals going on too...

I'm looking for a new PS2 (can you imagine how hard I'd get hit if I got my girlfriend a used PS2? :))

I realize that except for rare exceptions, PS2's are always going to be $200. My choices to get the best value seem to be either to wait until I can get one for 10% off or so, or to get a bundle deal where (hopefully) they give you a good deal on a few things. In the ads I saw one at Best Buy and one at Circuit City, but they didn't seem too great.

You know, these are the times where I'll just get sick of trying to find the best deal and just pay the extra $20 ;)

Thanks for the suggestions, though!
