View Full Version : CyberRebate: When to start worrying?

Now I know a lot of you have bought from CyberRebate and lured by it's "FREE after rebate" motto. From reading on the forums it seems like all of you eventually received your rebates well past their 8-10 week arrival time (no apparently extended to 10-12 weeks).
Just one question, exactly how long after the rebate is sent in should I start worrying that 1) They never got it or 2) They won't honor it because I missed some nitpicky thing on their rebate form. I emailed them through their website with no response. Basically, I'm out 300+ dollars and I sure would like it back SOON. In case you're wondering, I sent in the rebates from California at the end of February.

I have always got a reply within 3-5 days after emailing them (and that usually coincides with a "oh, that check is going to be sent out in a few days" followed by receipt of a check).
This has happened 2-3 ties, so I would email them again. And, of course, if you purchased by following a link from Apex's deals section, email him to follow up for you.

It does take awhile to get your cash back, however, they are cool with the little things you screw up with. I forgot all of the upcs and they let me fax them to them.

I bought something in Feb, sent everything in and waited. Around May I went to the site to check the status. It showed that they were still waiting on my UPC code (which I sent in). I sent email telling them what happened, they replied within the hour, said they check would be sent in June. I did get the check in June and I did get the item I order, but it just didn't seem that it was worth the effort.

They are quite good about getting your money to you but if you sent your rebates in Feb. you should have got them by now (my last order from April, just came in). Go to there site, and click "my account" in the top right corner. After you have logged in it will bring up a page with past orders on it. You can then select your order and the next page will tell you the status of your rebates, if they have been received, processed, and what date the checks will be mailed. I have had to email them previously about an item or two and have had very good luck. They seem to want to help in any way they can.

They rebate status' for all of the items (6 of them) are still 'Pending'. I guess I'll email them again and see what's going on. I have copies of my UPC symbols just in case they never received the items.
I had the items sent to my apt. at school but told them to send the rebates to my home address. I sure hope that wasn't a problem.

Well for me I think it took over a year i almost didn't know why I was recieving a check because I forgot about it after the long wait.

Haha, my Ma will kill me if it takes that long.
"Oops I crapped my pants."

Hmm...when mine showed up as Pending for so long, they had never received them. I called, got fax number, resubmitted, and received mine before a guy I work with who send his original stuff in the same day I did. Better drop 'em a line.
