is dvd-r the leading standard right now? will a playstation2 accept dvd+r discs?

You know, I was wondering the same thing... you might want to check out the thread in the Need Deals section here. (http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=54110)

The playstation2 question is not answered, but a lot of the debate over DVD+R and DVD-R is discussed. Personally, I would like to know about Xbox being able to read the DVD+-R discs.

The Xbox reads +RW discs just fine. I haven't tried the PS2, but heard it works also (since I got my Xbox the PS2 has been in the spare bedroom collecting dust).
