So I'm sitting here, reading this (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/2002-12-04-focus-tragedy_x.htm) and I'm like ok. whatever, until this is said, towards the end of the article.

Montross says he also is preparing to sue the manufacturer of the goal post. "It didn't just bend like some sort of taffy or something. It snapped at the base," he says. "The issue is whether or not this product was unreasonably dangerous. We're convinced it was."

As far as *I* know, goalposts are made or even designed to hold people on them, especially while rocking back and forth. Great friviolous lawsuit.

What also got me was how do your rush onto the field (illegal, at least from everything I've heard) and not notice a huge, yellow steel thing. Let alone, not notice that it's swaying?

i guess this is an example of why schools don't want people rushing the field and tearing down the goalposts. it's too bad, really.

He thinks goal posts should bend? i never thought it should.

They should start arresting people who enter the field, and fine them.

They should beat him to death with a goal post and then doccument the effect on the goal post so that everone will know to leave them alone.
