Guess I got lucky. They delivered me two bricks yesterday (I ordered them on Tuesday).

But CompUSA had 40 for $5.00 (albeit, a no-name brand) a couple weeks ago. I bought 4 bricks for my battery-eating kids to enjoy. :D

Costco sells their "Kirkland" brand of AA's in a 40pk for about the same, just an FYI, like you need an excuse to blow more $$$ there!

They could pay me to take them and I wouldn't. They don't last for anything.

You may be right. I have been using them in one of my digital cameras and they don't seem to last very long. Maybe they are rejects?

I've learned not to buy Costco Alkaline batteries. They don't last and they leak!

A while ago Consumer Reports did a test on batteries, and they suggested (by case markings and performance) that the Kirkland batteries were manufactured by Duracell.

If they were, they're obviously not made to the same speec as the Duracell.
Radio Shack batteries are made by Energizer. The good thing about RS batteries are that they fly off the shelf so quick, you never have old stock. (Although they have a 5 year shelf like anyway.) Also, if you don't have a Costco memership, RS Alkaline batteries are cheaper than let's say CVS or Walgreen's...
Just my thoughts (Again)... :)
