Not sure if this goes here are in Entertainment, but what is up with Disney? That can't make animated movies like they use to. Treasure Island bombed??? And it seems that can't make a great family movie without Pixar. ANd the lines are too long at Disneyland.... crazy!

Well, think of the bad movies they might have had if they hadn't of teamed with Pixar. At least they are tring to get something different. As far as the lines, well.. There is nothing they can do about that aside from letting less people in. If they did that, the lines would be really short becuase they would be out of business or the rides would get closed down.

I spose that's why.

I hate Disney. Disney is suck. What they are doing with Ghibli's films over here is disrespectful to them.

You "might" be getting it confused with The Lion King, which was NOT an original Disney idea. Anime fans who've seen "Kimba the White Lion" will know exactly what I mean here.

A majority of my friends loved Lilo and Stitch and yeah... Treasure Island was gonna tank from the moment of it's inception.

I did hear though, that Pixar was gonna leave... *shrugs* rumor mill. As for the Japanese film lovers... They did release Spirited Away here in the US which ended up tanking because of poor advertising but I loved it.

actually, it did really well. almost 100% of the reviews for it were positive. and it did really well with it's limited release. which makes one wonder why they never released it on a larger scale.
