eBay Etiquette

I've got a closet full of stuff i've been holding with the intention of ebaying sooner or later. None of it's that unusual, which means that most of it's been sold on eBay at one time or another.

I'm wondering if anyone knows if there's anything wrong with 'recycling' previous auction descriptions for my listing? (e.g. legally, eBay's policies) Anyway, most of the descriptions for the items i've purchased have been taken verbatim from the manufacture's website.

If you guys ebay, let me know. Thanks.

My guess would be that it could be technically illegal. There is fair use laws that say you can use a small part of copyrighted work, if credit is given, so it may not be. The company would also have to object to your use. They don't object to use of the description.

As for ebay's policy, here's a link:

I didn't find anything in it about this.
