For bringing back budget deficits, unemployment, and crony capitalism.
For eliminating regulations meant to protect Americans from corporate thieves and polluters.
For bringing back the secret police, government behind closed doors, and fear of nuclear holocaust.
For turning America from one of the most admired nations in the world to one of the more feared and disliked nations in the world.
(and we're only halfway through one term... God help us)

sigh. and isn't this world a better place now. :disa:
i hate presidents. we need to get rid of that office. perhaps replace it with a 3 party position that acts as what the president currently does. I suppose a democrat, a republican, and one of them tree hugging hippie independants.
that way whenever the "presidents" want to do something, they would have to battle royale to do it. they could make money by showing it on pay-per-view.

Don't forget these:
For showing kids that the President doesn't need to be smart, read well, or be taken seriously as long as your daddy has money
For starting a war with Arabs.
For letting UN Weapon inspectors do their job, without telling the world that the UN is wrong and needs to look harder for weapons, and claiming to have hard proof of weapons but when asked to say more telling everyone it's classified.
For all the laughable times when he looks like a monkey
hmmm not sure if there is anything else... however if Bush Sleeps with J-Lo I'd admire him although he'd be in the company of many a man.

Campaign promisses often seem to be BS. Personally I never pay much attention to them.
If President Bush came on tv today and said he did not touch anything on CO2 emmissions, that would be different.

wow, such an original thread title :P
Knew that party thrown in the 90's instead of taking care of business would come back to haunt. Now someone else has to make the hard decisions and has the misfortune to clean the mess while getting the blame.

personally I like Bush, voted for him, and would vote for him again..I also voted for Ross Perotway back in the first Clinton Election.. He should have won the first election-he would certainly have done a better job of running the country if you ask me.

I'm of the oppinion that both the Republican and Democrat parties have been putting forth exceptionaly crappy presidential candidates for the past 10 years.
I voted for none of them. I vote almost exclusively 3rd party except when the thought of the incumbent staying in is so aweful I would take anyone but him, I'll vote for whoever has the best chance to beat them.
Instead of arguing who is worse, Clinton or Bush Jr., let's just agree that the parties need to do a better job of getting responsible, realistic, efective, and pro-constitutional rights people nominated.

I believe that Bush is a good man, an idiot, but a good man. He doesn't read or like reading I should say, and he is an idiot. Now he wants to throw us into a personal war between his family and Iraq....But Bush is a good man.... not like Gray Davis

I will have to disagree with you there. Any man willing to throw the world into war based on his personal prejudices is not a good man. :(

Are you just upset because you think Bush is doing that for personal reasons, or do you just not like war for any reason at all?

Already having more members in our cabinet and staff convicted of a felon than Clinton's through both terms.
Showing high school seniors that not everyone can get into an Ivy League School... unless their dad is a wealthy president.
Planning to do oil drilling in the precious land of Alaska.

another one of these threads.......
People often seem to ignore the fact that the president is only 1/3 of the main lawmaking branches of the gov't. Theres also the judicial and legislative branches. Believe it or not, BUT THEY TOO ARE TO BLAME FOR ALL THAT YOU THINK IS WRONG!!!!
crazy isnt it?
People like to focus all the blame on one person. I also believe the same people bitching about the govt are also the ones who fail to vot ein the elections. From my college expereinces, the people without the motivation to find a job are the same ones complaining about the economy and job market.
Once again, i applaud bush for maintaining order in our country and doing his part to protect our nation. He has done an excellent job thus far, and I will vote for him next time around as well.

Yeah, too bad the Republicans didn't remember this when Clinton or any other democrat was or is in office. Stand on the pedestal now, but the truth of the matter is that if Dubya gets bounced out of office for a Democrat, the Republicans will be riding him(or her) in the same way that you are chastizing now. Just be prepared to give the next Democratic prez the same respect, or else consider yourself a hypocrite.
As far as Dubya is concerned, he has a long way to become half the president that slick Willy was. If he became half the pres Willy was, I would be very impressed. Too bad he's headed in the wrong direction right now.

Half the president? So is that like a cigarette instead of a cigar and a miniskirt instead of a dress? :)
