View Full Version : Looking for a deal on a scsi cd-rom

I haven't been able to find very good deals on these...basically the only requirement is that it can rip at speeds greater than 4x consistantly. Read speed doesn't matter a whole lot (I'll just be using it for on-the-fly cd copies)

I sold the Adaptec SCSI controller card that came with it ( I already have one ) for $21 so the NET cost to me was $165.63!!

I got mine last week - works just fine with Adaptec CD Creator and CDRWIN software.

Since you're looking for SCSI I recommended this one. HP makes the second best CD-RW drives. Plextor makes the best! If you're looking to go IDE then I'd recommend the Plextor 1210 with Burn-proof for $191 also from Onvia (discounts included already).

Thank you very much for the replies guys, but I meant a cd-rom, not a cd-rw--I already have a ricoh cd-rw but I have no cdrom...
