i have a usb printer but just bought a router with print server. Is there any way to get a usb to parallel cable? ive looked around and people said they dont exist and would suck if there was one, please help?

never heard of a usb to parallel. it would work the other way around though.

Nope, I have never seen one. I know there is Parallel to USB, but only for printers. I tried making my parallel scanner USB, but since the signal is traveling the opposite direction, it would be converting parallel to usb. So that would be the same situation as you; sending from a parallel to a usb.

I think you're SOL man, sorry. Gonna have to buy a print server that is usb.

That is for going from parralel to usb not vice versa.

At work on our car rental computer we are running two Lexmark z-53's and on one of them we did get a usb to parallel printer cable. If need be I'll look at the name brand when I go back into work tomorrow, let me know...
