I switched from AT&T and bought the Samsung S105. I got it in the mail and I am really impressed. My old AT&T phones would pull maybe 1-2 bars signal, my mom and sister use cingular, and they were in the same boat as I was. My dad is now using nextHELL, and his is the worse of us all with frequent call drops. I open up my t-mobile, and waited 15 minutes. The phone started working after that 15 minute period. I have almost all of the signal meter, and the calls are crystal clear.

I should have switched along time ago.

Anyone else use tmobile?

Yes, I do. I have a pretty good signal most of the time. But during peak use times I have a probelm getting a call out sometimes. I migt have to try 3 or 4 times =(

I love the phone too. I've put a bunch of selfmade polyphonic ringtones on it already.

i was one of those ppl who hated cingulars service.. i got so many dropped calls and stuff
i had the nokia 8290 and now i have the 8390. WOOOOW
what a big diffrence !! crystal clear calls, and no dropped ones.
i love my service now:D

yep, metfoo is also my screenname. I first started using ribitch here, and on one or two other boards besides my own. Most the time I go by metfoo

I have used Cingular for 6 years, my logo still says Pac Bell, upgraded to a chip I got when they were pac bell after Cingular bought them. In so Cal I get a great signal.

My sister Had TMobile and hated it, no signal up in Berkeley. She returned it quickly.

I love T Mobile's spokeswoman..... she's a hottie.

from what i see so far, you can send the ringtone with IR or the datacable (which is freaking expensive as all hell). Samsung offers a application that will convert midi files for you. I havent tried any of it yet

Samsungs software doesn't let you convert, but it will let you transfer. To convert midi to mmf I use a software called psmplay. Just do a google search for it. I also found a site a while ago with TONS of mmfs, so i just downloaded the whole site. I think i have like 50 megs worth of ringtones

I don't know about you guys but T-Mobile is horrible here in Orange County. My friend had it for a week and he had to return because nobody could call him on Friday afternoon. I was about to go with T-Mobile but ended it up with Verizon, which is great! I have good signal @ my house and my gf's since those are the two places I need signal! :D

verizon blows in mid michigan (where my university was) the service is ok in detroit, and sprint just sucks ass bigtime. Many people swaer by NextHELL here, but i hate their phones because they are so annoying, the users annoy me, and my dads coverage just blows. Plus i wanted to ditch the xDMA technologies in favor of GSM

where do you come to in detroit? I live on the north side, and will be working on the west side.
