Soap Box Racing

Hey Yall,
I know this is a bit odd, but are there any of you guys that are into building soap box cars? A few of my friends and I were actually interested in wanting to try to build a soap box car.

Does anyone have any good links on how to get the basics down? Thanks.

what, in fact, is a soap box car? the only car i've built is a pinewood derby car. heh.

Really popular around here. They actually block off a major road every year for the event.
Isn't there an upper age limit? I thought it was for young kids.

heihachi, where in la crescenta would you race soap cars? haha. when i think of la crescenta, i think of the one main road and a bunch of koreans. haha.

I live at the top of Lauderdale.... so the street parallel foothill above my house is markridge... it's a long slanted road w/ no houses on the left.. just mountains...
