ok. ya'll might remember my post from a while ago.

well, it's been over 2.5 months since i interviewed for the position. they narrowed it down to 4-5 people from 16 and i learned that i was one of the ones left in the pool. then i hear that they are looking for a more qualified candidate from outside the company. then someone tells me they sent an offer to someone this week. (this was overhead and might not be reliable.) so i get this message today from the manager of the position:
subject: Job Opportunity
Andy,

Pls stop by and see me tonight before your leave or give me a call late today. I have good news..

i work for Eaton Corporation (http://www.eaton.com)in the marketing communications dept for the Truck Components division (http://www.roadranger.com). i'm trying to get a position in the oem sales dept. as an account manager.

nope. but i believe i might get a bonus after a while. i don't really want to work on commission right now. our account managers work with only one or at the most 2 accounts because they they details are so time-consuming. it will take me some time to get comfortable enough to want to depend on a commission. i do get a celly and maybe a company car. and a lot more money. IF I FREAKIN' HAVE THE JOB!!! he's still not in his office!

well...i met the manager today and they offered me the position! the problem is that they are offering me about 5 grand more per year than i was expecting, and i get a bonus. wait, that's a good thing! :D it will be a hard job but the position is where i need to be to get where i wanna go. one real prob is that i won't have nearly as much time to post on apex.:(

oh yeah. i'll still be a cheapbast@rd. i'm driving a 87 civic right now and it's starting to fall apart pretty badly. i'm going to go car shopping pretty soon and i'll prob. give some car salesman a headache with all of my dealing! i'll just tell him straight out, "you're not dealing with the average customer here, you're dealing with a GotApex member." i'm sure that will frighten him.:rolleyes: we're doing pretty well right now and my increase was around $1000/month not including my bonus. i don't know how much that will be. but, i'm NOT going to blow the whole increase on a car. (i'm going to blow it on an xbox, new road bike, projection tv, new dolby 7.1 sytem, etc.)

Very nice Cheap !!! Just think...more money to spend on gotapex deals...of course, when you squeeze the time in...
