I'm running Windows XP pro and I have these Chinese or Korean fonts installed that I am not able to remove. I have no idea where they came from. I checked the languages installed in Windows under Control Panel and Microsoft Office XP Language Settings and I don't see any foreign languages installed anywhere. I tried to delete the fonts but get "access is denied". I renamed the fonts and was able to delete them but they came back again on their own after I booted the machine. The fonts are @dotum, @dotumChe, @Gulim, @Gulimche, @MingLiU, @MS Gothic, @MS PGothic, @MS PMincho, @MS UI Gothic, @NSimSun, @PMingLiU and @SimSun.
Can anybody give me any ideas about how I can get rid of these fonts permanently? I have tried everything and it is getting very frustrating!

I was able to uninstall the Chinese fonts by going into the control panel and under language setup, I had to check the "install files for Asian languages". After the install, I had to back and uncheck the box so the files uninstalled. These files were taking up a chuck of hard drive space unnecessarily. I don't know how the files got installed in the first place.:D
