Alrighty, got a small little problem here. By some stroke of luck, when I asked Crucial to replace one of my dead ram sticks (they give you lifetime warranty), they accidentally sent one to my home and one to my apartment. So, understandably, im quite pleased with this situation.

UNFORTUNATELY, I have an MSI 6380 KT266a mobo with 3 ram slots. Just enough to hold my 3 256 sticks right? Riiiight. Upon insertion of all 3 sticks and booting, a lovely blue screen comes up just as Win2K starts booting which says my motherboard doesnt support ACPI. I *know* it supports ACPI because when you take out the 3rd stick it boots just fine (with ACPI on, in the BIOS).

Now I remember reading somewhere that these motherboards have trouble with 3 slots filled, but I dont know if that actually affects my motherboard. So what im wondering is if anyone has any idea as to how I could fix this, and if not, who wants to buy my 256 stick? =)

flash the bios, see if that fixes it. You could try turning ACPI off, but that can cause problems too.
