235 Tequilas?!?

Tonight I went to a restaurant called El Agabe here in San Diego which calls itself a "Tequilaria", because it has something ridiculous like 230 different tequilas :eek: The price range varied from around $8 to $150 per shot!!! Now I am not a big tequila drinker(too many bad experiences as a teen) but I had to indulge tonight. I had a shot of $12 tequila which was pretty smooth, but still had quite a kick. It was a good time and I still gots me a mad buzz. Good times :thumb:

I think that I might have to do some experimenting with Tequila again, because I thought this was a good experience. However I think I'll have to experiment from the privacy of my own liquor store rather than some overpriced restaurant, know what I mean?

no tequila here. i had that bad exp in hs too. of course i'll have the occasional shot, but that's mostly when you poured it down my gullet.

you know me tho...straight gin. oh, now i'm on straight rum. tonight i had some niiiiiiice cap'n morgan's that tasted like banana. good times. but i'll drink any damned rum that's the equivalent of palo viejo or better.

hooboy, ya. I went to a bar tonight with my family friend. see the other thread. anyways two guys basically fought over here and they bought her tequila. but she was driving so i got to have the tequila they bought her :).

that's damned expensive, although i suppose on a cost/alcohol content basis, it's probably similar to the price of expensive wine.

Not unless it's mixed in a margarita. (I'm a wimp!!) That may change if I get frisky when we go to Cabo.

:puke: Tequila is the nastiest of nasty beverages. Bottled vomit in a bottle IMO. I "ate the worm" once, tho.

Although the lime and salt makes it somewhat palatable. I do have some fond memories of "body shots" :naughty:

i never go out of my way for tequilla, but if someone buys me a shot i'll slam it. i ate the worm once too, on a dare, nasty shiz. actually it tasted just like the tequilla.

The resturant is called El Agave ( Tequilla is made from the Agave plant )

I went there a couple years ago..didn't partake in the tequilla shots..but did have a pretty gourmet meal. Stange flavors for a strange cuisene..worth checking out if you have the cash.
