they hired a monkey to do systems administration where i work :(
So, we have a server at work where i do all of my programming. It is behind a router, which has an administrator who likes to make changes without telling anyone.
They have blocked the ports that i need to remotely connect to that machine. (Remote desktop connection, Windows regular old networking) but not VNC or SSH ports.
the server's administrator wont give me the VNC passsword, so is there any way that i can use SSH Tunneling into this machine to use Remote desktop connection?
I was hoping that SSH tunneling would do something a little like VPN'ing, but i dont know where i can read about it.
Oh by the way, i was using VPN up to this point, but they moved the VPN server to another subnet, so its still on the outside of this router. Wow, i didnt know such smart people worked for the government.
TIA,
