If it wasn't bad enough you'd owned the home theater thread......

WTH kind of system has 4 xeons?

It's like somekind of supersystem not for the likes of us mortal apexers.

To quote Mike Tyson (and that rapper), "it's LUDICROUS!"

A dual Xeon system with hyperthreading enabled will show up as four processors.

Thanks for enlightening me. I just figured him being Apex and all........
All the Xeons support HT or is it just the latest batch and what kind of 3Dmarks is Apex getting with that rig? :P

I believe Intel introduced hyperthreading in the Prestonia Xeons that were from 1.8 to 2.2 Ghz.

Revil, there are 33 processors listed. Shouldn't the number of processors be divisible by 2?

I'm sure he just forgot to enable HT on one of 'em. YOU try enable HyperThreading on 17 processors!

All those processors would require a huge motherboard. Or you could have motherboards stacked above each other like floors in a tall building. You'd have to have some good fans for all the heat that would be generated. Maybe you could have some duct work on two sides of the motherboard with openings at each motherboard (floor). One duct would force air across the motherboard and the other duct would exhaust the air.

I'm running these 280ghz procs on an ASUS Really F*cking Big MoBo(tm). To cool these, i'm cooling them with liquid nitrogen. you should see the tubing and cooling unit for that. When I turn the computer on, the lights dim in this part of town.
