but I am wondering if you have an archenemy?

I was recently thinking about this, and I realized that I do. As wierd as it sounds, we have almost a comic book, hero/villian relationship. We were fairly close when we were young, but as time passed, we started to go our separate ways. We are on the verge of being equal yet opposite, though I am much smarter and stronger than he is. In a way, this epiphany kind of scares me. From childhood on, he has had a profile very similar to that of a serial killer, and we have always had a wierd connection/relationship. The scary thing is, I could actually see him hurting people in the future.

Until then, though, I must give him the benefit of the doubt.

I had an arch-nemesis at work, someone who would thwart me whenever he could, and make my job impossible.

Then he got fired. Now my life is so empty and meaningless. I need a new arch-nemesis.

that'd be cool if you guys became like Superman and Lex Luthor, in the end that guy will try and kill you, but you'll "die" to something else, but then come back to life only to have your life thwarted by your old friend....

That made me think of that movie with Bruce Willis and Samuel Jackson in it, where Willis was the ordinary man with family problems who rose to the occasion when needed and Jackson doomed at birth with fragile bones looked for his opposite in life by causing fatal accidents...

Yes!! When I was growing up and moved from a DC school to a MD public school I had one without knowing it. I was in 5th grade and didn't know anyone. I just did my work and answered all the questions the teachers gave me. Later that year that I was getting straight A's and unknowingly unthroned the teachers pet who was getting good grade's in that elementary school. Until I came she had the highest GPA and stuff. So she had this vendetta against me because I was smart and tried spreading rumors that I like this and that girl and that I liked her and stuff. Thank goodness puberty didn't kick in...I just blew her off and continued getting that straight A's. We went to middle school and I was still getting good grades and she did a total 180 and was barely passing and turned sluttly. Puberty must have hit her hard. I met her once several years later when I went with my dad to jewelry trade show. Her mom looked like she had one plastic surgery too much and she look liked a crackwhore. The parents talked and I gave my best smile and said Hello. She said rathery dryly and bitterly..."Oh...it's you..." :dodgy:

Whatever CRACKWHORE!!:D :heh:

I don't think it will ever be that extreme or anything. I just worry that if, in the future, he does things that I think he is capable of, I will be the only one who will see him for who he is.

Haha, great story mcs328!!!
