A very close friend of mine who wheels & deals on apex all the time, decided it was time I lead a more productive life so he turned me onto this...:rolleyes:
I somehow believe it was done with the thought I would keep busy & not bug him so much..:shake::o

so anyway, on one of the boards where people were discussing the whole fiasco, someone posted a link to some info about CR posted in the GA forums.

so i ended up coming and browsing. started looking at the deals forums a lot.....

finally, i registered to ask a question about CD-RW drives for my laptop. then i started posting a little bit more....pretty soon i was addicted :D

I was working at a store, where a co-worker and I often discussed computers, stocks, bonds, and deals. I would give him leads and he would reciprocate. Well one day, he told me that he had found this site for good deals. I went home and tried it...found all the deals useful. Finally after a few months, I actually opened my eyes and saw that there were forums. So, I was lurking there in the background until one day I finally decided to open my mouth.

I don't know, but I kept having probs with MSN that they could never resolve, so I cancelled and switched to Earthlink a few months later. Haven't heard nada from MSN and it never made it to my credit report either.

As far as how we've heard of g/a...back in about '99 a co-worker of mine told me about her fiance's deal's site. I've been checking out the deals page since, but I only signed up and participated in the forums since this past summer.
