Here's some data from my installing DX9.0 and later installing the new 42.01 Detonator drivers:
16.102980 / 33.552380 / 61.464478 fps -- Score = 33.571587 rand[23413] DX8.1
16.400593 / 30.258793 / 60.918491 fps -- Score = 30.272575 rand[23413] Q-FSAA DX8.1
14.124005 / 33.052582 / 64.701889 fps -- Score = 33.066662 rand[23413] DX9.0f+42.01
11.109749 / 32.705040 / 61.701061 fps -- Score = 32.718166 rand[23413] Q-FSAA+DX9+42.
(For those that care, 3DMark2001SE improved something like 300 points...but I don't give *that* benchy much creedance anymore.)
Check out the near-zero performance hit when turning on Quincunx FSAA with the new drivers!!
BTW: System is a P4 1.6A OCed to 2.12GHz, with a Ti4200 64M OCed to 290x621 with full sound (Audigy) on :cool:
