I was reading another thread which health was somewhat the topic and it brought me back to something that one of my high school teachers said, "To much of anything that is good is not good" It was a class in automotive theory and we were trying to apply what he had said to different things. Someone in the class asks "how can to much health be not good" The teacher was stumped and didn't have an answer. Well the next day he came in and we reviewed, he brought up what this one students reply was to his theory and he had an answer. For someone to have never been I'll and always healthy will never know what it's like for someone who is, thus never having sympathy for what they feel. Kind of makes you wonder.

Though I don't agree with this particular sentence.......

For someone to have never been ill and always healthy will never know what it's like for someone who is, thus never having sympathy for what they feel.

Because I'm a pretty healthy person...though some would beg to differ about my mental behavior  ... I may not know the "feeling" of having a particular sickness or health issue, but I do have sympathy for others and what I believe they are feeling...but thats me!

As far as "too much of a good thing not being good"...I believe thats true & can very well be applied to a lot of things like you said...from too many vitamins, to too much honesty  .......The most obvious & common I would think would be fame & fortune, power........
(I feel like Robbin Leech )
...for example...alot of money would be great for me :D ...I'm sure if I had too much of it for too long, it'd corrupt me and I'd become a snob spending my money foolishly ( counting my shoes in the closet ) :o ...and forgetting where I came from......
Too much of the "good life" would, I can only imagine have repercussions...it changes people for sure....and I don't believe that in everyone...but for most...
Not that I don't believe the "good life" is a good thing...I just think some lose perspective of everyone & everything around them if they have too much of it for too long....
Am I still on the topic here? :P

Usually thats the norm for me...missing the point :P
In answer to your question here....No..I don't think a man could fully understand .........though, I'd be thoroughly amused at helping one that I know do just that...
...anyhow..no to your question...and as a quick add on...just like I wouldn't think Donald Trump would ever fully understand what its like to be poor... ( am I on the right track) or am I still poking along behind the same caboose...

However...if I totally missed the entire point...I guess I'll have to put my thinking cap on and redo my response
You have to admit..I was on a roll :amidala:

I agree with the statement. Rephrased, everything should be done in moderation.

Remember folks... abstinence is good as long as it's done in moderation. :D
