I've given up on email filters. The spammers are smarter than I am in that way, so I've done something else instead.
I've implemented a whitelist.
I have a single blacklist entry, *@*, and a list of accepted email addresses. The whitelist overrides the blacklist, and all it takes to add a person to the whitelist is a single keystroke. Now, all email is automatically marked for deletion unless the send is on my whitelist. I still see the message before they get deleted, so I won't miss anything important.
There are only about 30 email addys I want to get sh|t from. The rest is :spam: Well, now I'm fighting back. Passively, anyway... ;)
