Who do you have more of...male friends or female friends...Do you find you get along better with your male friends or your female friends...and do you have a friend of the opposite sex that you truly have a genuine "friend" relationship with...one you open up to or feel comfortable to say just about anything to ?

And thank you for the welcome !
here...have a candybar :bonk:
I mostly have female friends. I have trouble making friends with guys, but they make friends with me and so the guy friends I have (Like 5 or 6) I've known for quite some time. Other guy friends I meet through people who I already know, don't usually make them on my own. In classes and stuff like that I usually always make friends with girls. And yes I do have a female friend which I'm close to, but we only talk online so that might be why I find it easy to say ****. My girlfriend I would say is a good friend that I feel comfortable saying most anything to also, your g/f-b/f should always become a close friend :)

You should put that last line in your sig. I've seen it so many times it's getting a bit old and hackneyed

I think I'm about even on the guy and girl friends....
But yes...there are actually two people (That happen to be girls) that I will open up to and tell anything.

i'm pretty equal too. but i'm more apt to really talk about personal matters more with guys (i.e. my roommate). but i talk a lot about fairly personal matters with everyone.

Its about the same for me (male to female friends).
I have one guy friend that I have really opened up to and has really been there for me and I for him. Then I started having feelings for him. Unfortunately, he was married and about the get a divorce at the time so I had to back off...so we actually aren't as close as we used to be.
I backed off because #1 he was married, had mixed emotions about reconciling and I didn't want to influence that. I wanted to respect his marraige. #2 he is divorced now. But I don't want to be the "cleanup woman". I want him to be sure about his feelings for me and not just be with me cause he's vulnerable and I was there for him.

I have mostly male friends, but I do have a couple of close girl friends. I used to have more, but somehow...they either went crazy or something happened that made us go our separate ways. I would have to say I have many female acquaintances but only a few female friends.

I'd say I have more female friends than males, in regards to total # of friends in general, and close friends. I'm more apt to open up to girls because its not as bad when they pity my sorry life :P I have several genuine "friends" of the opposite sex, that I'm able to open up and talk about anything with (they'll disagree, and say i hold back quite a bit  ) .
But if your definition of "genuine friends" with the opposite sex refers to a relationship in which its just friendship, nothing more, I'm not too sure I can admit to that. I think I have, to some degree, more of an attachment (whether or not i like them, i dunno) with them, but maybe its just cuz i feel so cocmfortable around 'em? i'm confusing myself, bleah!

On another note threw the years it's varied for me, but for the most part it been equal across the board.

exactly why you can't have opposite sex friends (yes, the whole stupid harry met sally philosphy.)
anyways.
I think I have more girl friends as in just casual friends, just saying hi and how you doing, and sharing some laughs. I just can't small talk with guys as easily...
...but in terms of really talking about "deep" stuff...There are a few guys that I'll do that with....and pretty much 0 girls.

in high school i had a lot of female friends. after hs, they went crazy, either they wanted to be more than just friends or they would only be friends with gay males. we went from being friends to saying "hey, whats up?" when passing by.
i miss having girl friends, i could talk to girls about anything, with guys i cant talk about anything but guy stuff. its diffent than having a girlfriend, cuz you cant talk to your gf about her and you cant talk to a gf about your other female friends. with female friends its all good, i could talk about it all.
"girls aint nothing but trouble" ;)

I would say I make friends with girls easier but I'd say I have equal amounts. In my daily life I am actually a really funny person, despite what you may think. Being funny helps making friends with girls I found but not so with guys.

i would say i have equal amounts of friends of either sex. altho i have 3 really close friends who are female. we have all been best friends since elementary.

i definitely have more female friends than male friends.
for whatever reason, i just get along with/relate to women better than i do with men.
of course, i think it's arguable that in the world of traditional gender roles, i am more traditionally "female" than "male".
but i have a couple close guy friends, and those are good too, because we can discuss T&A, etc :hihi:
I have about 10 friends i talk to on a semi-regular basis (g/f is excluded) 2 of them are female, the rest are male, and i think i'm being too generous in the total of 10...:hmm:

I have both types, but most of my friends are females. Works best because I hate having to decide things (mainly, where to go, what to do, etc...). Have you ever seen 4 guys sitting in a car for ten minutes trying to decide where to go eat. It's pathetic...
Guy 1: So, where do you wanna go?
Guy 2: I dunno... where do you wanna go...
Guy 3: I dunno... where do you wanna go...
Guy 4: I dunno... where do you wanna go...
Guy 1: I dunno... where do you wanna go... etc...
