Great site for beer lovers

As is well documented around these parts, I am a huge fan of beer. Hence the nickname "Ruler of all things beer," which I very much appreciate. Anyway, for those who love beer, check out www.ratebeer.com. You do just what the name says, rate beers and read others' rating of beers. It's a great resource to check out when you're at Trader Joe's or some place looking at a bunch of beers you've never heard of. Plus, you can keep track of all of the beers you've tasted. And they have a lot of good resources for those hwo don't know much 'bout beer and lots of good articles. Enjoy.

What a great idea for a new website. I signed up. Planning on visiting some of the local breweries in my area this spring and summer.

cool site. i may never buy beer again, tho...

we bottled eight cases last night (a bohemian pilsener, a pale lager, a maerzen, and an oatmeal stout) and the taste tests on all of them were fabulous... then there's another 5 gal batch of lager to be bottled next weekend, and we just brewed an experimental 1-gal batch of triple-bock (and i think we pulled it off!!! not too dark, good thickness, and i don't think we overhopped it) and a 5-gal orange blossom mead (which will take a year to mature...)

and as we were digging out bottles, we found some gems... a 12-pack of mead i made in 96 that is daaaayumn good now... a coffee beer from 96 that's ... well... very coffee (it was a fad in 96, dammit) ... and one precious bottle of a barley wine from about 2000 that has aged nicely.

i guess we're going to have to buy another case or 3 of leinie's returnable bottles at this point...

gonna be some GOOD drankin goin down in the loser household :P
