I was just wondering how many people have had guns pulled on them before? I have had three or four pulled on me in my life and its definitely not something I can easily forget.

The first time was a handgun, a Glock if my friends saw right. We were all out drinking and my friends started laughing at this guys truck. It was purple and had QUADZILLA written on the side. Apparently they heard them, kicked their truck into reverse and started chasing us with the gun. We all jumped a stone wall and then ran low to the ground until we made it our of sight.

The second time was a shotgun. I was at a party and this girl I was with got sick. So I am standing on the street holding her hair right next to this guys driveway. I gather some party goers had decided to park in his driveway and he had trouble even getting into his house. So he comes out, drunk as a skunk (he was not driving), with a nice shot gun. The guy was sitting there screaming that he was going to shoot everyone he sees on his property as well as their cars. Then I noticed that he was actually putting in shells so I grabbed the girl and the other people who we were with and peeled off.

The third time was a handgun. One of my friends got married on the spur of the moment. I had skipped the nuptials because I didnt think it was going to work out and I didnt think highly of the guy she was marrrying. Now being a nice guy and not wanting to hurt her feelings, I told her that I had class. She told me to come by that night after the ceremony or the next day. So I was finally feeling bad enough about it that I went over to her place. I knocked on the door, it was about 12pm, and was greeted by the gun aimed directly at me. I had never met her husband (just going by what I was told by her and others) and so he didnt know me. When she saw it was me, she made him take the gun off me, but it was unnerving to say the least.

On a side note, the guy had just gotten out of prison, so I am sure he was violating his parole. Last I heard he was arrested for shooting the gun towards the main artery in the town and they were split up.

I know there was probably one other time but that was a friend of mine so it doesnt really count.

my brother accidently shot me in the leg with a BB gun once-he was playing with it in the house-trying to hit "targets" and a BB bounced off his hotwheels track and into my left leg-(he was 11,he barely made it to 12 after that!)

I was working in a gas station. A big rig driver(a regular customer) came up to me and said, " What would you do if I did this?". Right then he shoved a gun against my stomache. He left it there for about 15 sec.

I didnt know if he was serious or just playing around. Luckily he was just playing around. But nonetheless it was very scary.

Also been shot a few times by friends with BB guns.

Also paintballing.

Only guns I've ever been in contact with were a .22 rifle and a double barrel shotgun. Both times I had the gun. Target practice for rifle shooting merit badge.

ummm...NO! where the eff do you live if you've had a gun pulled on you 3 times. i used to live in a pseudo-ghetto and never had one pulled on me. i'd be so pissed! i have a good buddy that carries one on him. he has a cc license so it's legal. i still feel unconfortable when i know he has it and would rather he not bring it into my house. however, i fully support his right to carry it.

Twice.

First time, I was just a kid, running my collections for my paper route. There was this old man on my route. I knocked on the door, and he opens it holding a pistol and rag. Guess he was cleaning the thing. I couldn't have been older than 13 or 14 at the time. When I tell him I had come to collect, he asks me, "Do you take food stamps?"

Long, LONG uncomfortable silence... Before I could manage to stammer out anything, he continues, "I hope not, cause that would be illegal!" He then forks over the money. I found out later from my Dad that the guy was a retired cop.

Second time was new Year's eve at the turn of the millenium. I was living in San Francisco then, but was visiting my friend in NYC, who was throwing a monster bah at his place, not more than 2 or 3 blocks from Times Square. We were hanging out on the roof, when all of a sudden we here, "hold it there!". We look over, and out of the darkness are two cops, guns drawn on us, approaching. I was right out in front, so they were trained on me. "Put that cup down!" I slowly and carefully comply. They proceeded to line us up along the roof parapet with our hands spread out. Apparently they heard reports of people throwing bottles off the roof, and were clearing all the roofs in the area. The two cops looked like they were about 20 years old, and more scared than we were, having to keep order in the chaos of New Year's Eve by Time's Square. Good thing they didn't look too closely, cause between all of us we were carrying enough illicit "substances" to spend at least a few nights in the clink. Woulda sucked. But that party was legendary, and will be remembered fondly by all who attended!

Two definite times . . . Two times that I don't really count

1st when I was a school kid and my gym class was going to play in a park here in Manhattan. To get to the field, we had to walk under a highway in an area where there are quite a few homeless folks. One of them pulled out a gun while we were all walking through there and aimed at us and then at the ceiling. Needless to say, we all walked a bit faster through there.

2nd time, I was playing baseball down in Puerto Rico with my HS team. We had just finished a game with a local Puerto Rican team . . . another pitcher and I combined for a no hitter. After the game, we had a nice lunch with the players and their families, but as we were going to our bus, I guess one of the players was a little embarassed by the drubbing and pulled a handgun on us while we were walking. Ran up and held the gun to some people's heads, but didn't do anything.

The two times I don't really count . . .

1st I was mugged in Amsterdam with some friends when some guys jumped us in an alley by the Ann Frank house. They probably did the whole finger in the pocket thing or something claiming to have a gun given that getting a gun is tough as hell over there and the penalties are quite severe if you're caught with one. Either way, we only had a few bucks on us at the time, so losing that was a pretty insignficant and not really worth finding out if they did have guns. I guess that's what they rely on.

2nd was in Prague. A friend and I were waiting for a tram when this guy who is clearly on SOMETHING comes stumbling down the street and starts crossing the street towards to the island the tram stop was on. As he's futzing with his coat, he pulls it back and I could clearly see a gun in his belt, so I tell my friend and we back away a bit. When he gets a bit closer to the island, he pulled it out and started waving it around a bit, but by that point we were far enough away. Finally, he just put it away and stumbled away and a tram came and we just hopped on.

I was living in Gainesville, Fl...lots of Rednecks...lots of hicks...and lots of people with guns. However,I have had guns flashed at me from peoples waistbands or under jackets. I think its because they all think they would die if they want hand to hand with me. At least they know when they are over matched.....same goes on my side...I dont show a weapon unless I am going to use it nor do I go up against someone brandishing a weapon for the same reason.

Too many people don't understand that pulling a gun can be a life-altering decision. I cannot understand the mindset of someone who feels that they can wave a gun around with impunity. Pull a gun on the wrong person, even with NO intention of pulling the trigger, you can end up dead. I don't have time to try to determine the intentions of someone who is pointing a gun at me. Pull it, and you've forced my hand. And I've probably practiced more than them, too...;)

I have unfortunately been involved in a couple gun incidents so far:

The first time I was 9 years old and I was waiting for my Mom to pick me up from school (I went to a Catholic school next to the Church which also happened to be next to the freeway). A transient coming from the school offices walked up to me and started waving a pistol at me saying, "You're just another one on the meal-ticket aren't you?". I just sat there on this retaining wall and stared at him frozen (in fear, I guess). He just turned and walked off. About 45 seconds later, 3 Auburn policemen come running up to me from around the corner with their guns drawn and ask me if I saw anyone come by. I told them exactly what happened and pointed them in the direction he went. It turned out he started going nuts in the school office and the secretary immediately hit the panic button to the police button. The gun was apparently unloaded and the man was mentally ill, but at 9 years old that was something I will never forget.

The second gun incident I was involved in also involved some vandals/dumbass rednecks on my friends' farm outside Yuba City, north of Sacramento in California. I was 17 and my friend had a farm that we regularly went pheasant hunting on - his farm was technically a pheasant hunting club because they stocked 200 pheasants a year on the farm - this allowed us to hunt pheasant for 7 months a year instead of 2 weeks during regular pheasant season in November :D .

His farm (about 2000 acres) also had about 30 natural gas wells on it with several access points blocked by locked gates (with steel lock-guards so you couldn't just shoot the locks off). We were staying the night on the farm (his parents were away) and were getting ready to hunt in the morning (5 of us with dogs and everything). This being a Friday night and also being Yuba City, there are a LOT of dumbass rednecks who have nothing else better to do other than get drunk and shoot things (I'm not kidding - seriously). We were sitting inside eating when my friend comes in saying he's heard gunfire from the direction of the gaswells area with some headlights on one of the access roads (that shouldn't be there). Right after he said that, the power went out in the farmhouse(just a little creepy!). We try the phone and it's also dead. We realize that the only way we can call the cops is to go out 8 miles away to a gas station on the highway. With that, we decided to see what the hell was going on. We grabbed some guns ourselves and head over to the access road about 3/4 mile away (I had a Ruger 10/22 :D with a couple high capacity clips :thumb: with me - we were target shooting with it earlier that day). We went up with our lights off on the farm truck and when we came close several of us got out and fanned out on each side of the road. I got into a drainage ditch about 45 feet from the truck. There was a half moon out so we could see a little and there was some one on the access road ahead of us. We then heard gunfire and saw ricochets coming off one of the gas wells (again - dumbass rednecks). My friend turns on the remote spotlight on top of the truck and points it in the direction of the vandal/redneck/dumbass. Before he can shout any warning/challenge, the moron starts shooting at my friends truck! My friend jumps out of the truck and into a ditch and the spotlight gets shot out. In self defense we returned fire and I unloaded a full 50 round clip of .22 rounds at the redneck's vehicle. I shot out every light on that vandal/redneck/dumbass' truck (he had several). The moron proceeded to get in his vehicle and take off in reverse and turned around somehow and high-tailed it out of there and onto the county road. We gave chase only as far as the gas station and got a hold of the Sheriff and we had a bunch of deputies show up at the gas station within about 10 minutes. They took statements from us and started looking for a truck with lots of bullet holes in it (and no headlights!).

Well, according to the Yuba County Sheriff, the redneck had gotten away but they would be on the lookout for that truck. We went back to my friend's farm and saw why our power went out - the power transformer serving the farmhouse from the road had bullet holes all over it (as well as the phone splice case on the same pole). We took pictures of the gas well (no damage other than some bullet-dents) and some other damage to several gates along the road the next day. We actually did go hunting, but that didn't pan out so well (it rained off and on the next day so the birds didn't want to fly and just ran all over the place).

Remember how I said there are a lot of dumbass rednecks in Yuba City? Well about 2 weeks later the moron takes his ol' Ford truck into a body shop in Yuba City and the shop owner raises an eyebrow at all the bullet holes in the truck. He calls the Sheriff and they appear as the dumbass is being stalled by the shop owner. When he gets questioned about the truck the story doesn't seem right to the deputy (who happened to be one of the deputies who responded to our call!) and the deputy asks him for his ID and it turns out there's a bench warrant for a failure-to-appear. He gets arrested and they serve a warrant on his house - they take his 2 handguns and a few shotguns and they eventually matched both of his handguns to several of the bullets recovered from my friend's farm and truck. He ended up being convicted of several felonies (including assault with a deadly weapon) and got 12 years in state prison for all that and more (one of his redneck buddies also testified against him and got immunity).

I didn't mean to write a book on this, but trust me - this is the abridged version. :)

EDIT: Grammar typo

Thank God no one ever pulled a gun on me when I happened to have one with me. Actually, they should thank God.

Once, that I can remember. Back in HS, this guy I knew since middle school walks down the same block with his friend. We used to be somewhat cool, and then when HS hit, he didn't like me too much. He pulled a gun on me, but just wanted to scare me I'm assume. He was pretty much just a bully. I've seen him a few times since HS. I think he's a dropout (i could be wrong), and in a gang. oh well, sucks to be him

I've had guns pulled on me three times.

One time I got a call from a friend who was over at another friends house. Now the kid who lived there was a pretty big dealer in my town and apparently some sort of deal had gone bad and so a fight broke out and one of the guys came back with 3 cars full of people so my friends locked themselves inside the house. Well my one friend from inside the house called me to come pick him up so he could get the hell out of there before anything worse happend. I quickly rush over there with my g/f and a friend (female) to pick him up. As soon as I get there a car speeeds onto the street and stops in front of me. Window rolls down and I get a gun pointed to my face. Some ghetto white boy who told me to "not ****ing **** with him." He then pulled up his shirt and had a tatoo that said "THUG" across his chest. Pretty funny, but i'm not about to laugh with a gun in my face. My friend then begins to yell at teh guy "you think you're tough with a gun you ****ing pussy? what are you gonna do shoot us?" blah blah blah. Now i'm scared cause well if they're gonna shoot anyone they're not gonna shoot the girls so I elbow my friend. I guess the guy gets the hint I don't want trouble and they speed off and they shoot a bullet up into the air. Some of the guys return later (without gunboy) and it turns out the guy that my friend is in a fight with is one of my girlfriend ex's (ya she was a ghetto girl) so my g/f throws the guy on the ground, haha. We end up calling the cops and get most of them arrested.

Another time a friend of mine asked me to goto a cow field to pick shrooms. Apparently this was sort of a popular field as there were signs all over that read:

To shroom it may concern,
Please do not cut my fences.
No Fence, No Cows, No ****, No Shrooms.
Thank you.

Well maybe this guy had just had some fences cut but when we hopped in over (damn the electric fence) he spotted us and ran out with a shotgun, so we bolted.

The other time was quite weird. I live sort of in a wooded area so when I was a kid it was cool to make "Forts" in the woods. We were out in the middle of the woods once and we spotted some hunters. Now, I'm guessing they were hunting illegaly as i'm PRETTY damn sure you're not allowed to hunt in the woods near a residential area. They must have heard us and they yelled at us so we started running and they chased us. 2 of them hopped on dirtbikes and tried to run us down. We finally made it out of the woods and called the cops. Crazy day again.

Twice for me. Once as a civilian I was cruising with some friends and a carload of homies pulled up next to us in a Ford Taurus type car. There was a dude in the back seat who jumped out of the window and aimed a shotgun at us. Once who he saw that we were not who he was looking for, he slid back into the car and they took off. Not before all of us in the car shat ourselves.

Second was when I was in the ARMY in Haiti. Almost all of the civilians of Haiti were happy that we were there, except for the rebels who were still trying to help the Haitian military take over the government. These guys were hardcore, and everytime we would leave our base we had to be wary of them trying to start some shiot. One day we were headed to a ceremony in Port-Au-Prince to put Haitian President Aristide back into power. My company was supposed to just give support, and give some much needed firepower to the ceremony. Along the way, a small group started firing at us with pistols. We returned fire with 3 M-60 mounted Humvee's, and ended it rather quickly.

Regardless of where you see it, a gun pulled on you will change your perspective. I'm lucky to only have seen it from a distance, rather that right up to your melon like some of you have
