bootmagic (or something similar) for xp?

i'm planning on installing linux. i have partitionmagic 8.0 so i can get a piece of my current drive (nfts, xp). however my version of bootmagic (also 8.0) gives me this error"

"1607: Unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime"

is there a working version for xp, or is there another version i could use?

it works now. it turns out i had to register the msiexec file like the article said. now i have to create a fat partition for the lousy thing now :johnwoo2:
